OUR STORY

Wendy Brantley & Darlene Gurley Adams have been friends and family since 1984. Through many great times and their share of bumps in the road, they have endured with a strong faith and respect for their Creator. Thus the name “Still Blue” Studio is a reflection of their love for people, (if you have ever taken a color personality test...they both bleed blue, lol); and the scripture of Psalms 46:10 that reminds them of the need to create calmness and tranquility in the midst of this chaotic world “Be still and know that I am God.”

Wendy and Darlene are so excited to begin this business venture together in Eustace, Texas. They each bring a unique blend of talents and enthusiasm to Still Blue Studio. Wendy is a high school art teacher and plans to promote art education to all ages, including teacher workshops, student portfolio planning, homeschool education, and cooperative learning opportunities for local artists. Darlene is a dental hygienist by trade and the absolute queen of crafting. She is upbeat and trendy and incredibly gifted. She will be hosting a variety of craft workshops, incorporating new ideas with traditional culture.

In addition, the studio will offer mini session setups with great natural light for local photographers to utilize. Being located in an old church the windows are abundant.

They both love people, gatherings, food, history, and traditions. Can’t wait to meet you and share ideas and our love of art!
